Birthed on the pimpside of West Auckland in the confines of the aptly named Schu Boxxx studios, comes this blacksploitation inspired gem of badman proportions; “Willy The Pimp” Getting sick of the usual dance formulas clearing floors across the WW dance nation, Timmy and Agent Alvin decided to hit the studio with an arm load of favourite samples and some really shitty horn banks to create a tune with lashings of personality, too much slap bass and very large balls.. Out the other end comes this massive slice of funky tearout breakbeat.
Scraping the seedy underbelly, “Willy The Pimp” projects a greasy 35mm picture of super slick pimps powdering their hands, sexy street corner prostitutes in knee-highs and egocentric smack-talking tough guys. Gracing the shelves on hip UK breaks label APE RECORDS Timmy Schumacher and Agent Alvin join label mates Ben & Lex and Will White (Propeller Heads) for some of the freshest 12” wax in the breakbeat scene today.
Consider this the first of many upcoming releases from Timmy Schumacher (PASSENGER RECORDS, RESIN RECORDS) as he forges forwards with his behemoth eclectic album project and from Agent Alvin as he soars to new heights in the massive worldwide drum n bass scene with tunes out on FULL CYCLE and COMMERCIAL SUICIDE.
“Willy The Pimp” available now on wax and mp3 @ www.juno.co.uk
